On the heels of the release of our increased file size limit for pre-recorded videos (part of our free Upload & Stream product), we received the request to increase the file size limit for pre-roll videos as well. Good news - we've doubled the size allowance for global and per-session pre-roll videos to 50 MB! Keep in mind that pre-roll videos are meant for short b-roll type footage to promote your event, the session, sponsors, etc. and not to play a full session.
Streaming videos for Upload & Stream is our most significant cost, so our goal is to continue offering it all for free (we know it's one of the big reasons customers love PheedLoop) all while offering more functionality at the same time!
Autopilot Mode for session live streams allows for the automatic toggling on and off of your session’s famous “Enable Stream” button. This is particularly useful for events with hundreds of sessions, many concurrent tracks, or small teams with limited manpower.
Autopilot Mode is streaming technology agnostic, meaning any streaming option you choose in PheedLoop will be compatible. Within seconds of the start and end time you specify for your session, PheedLoop will automatically toggle the stream on or off and it will be perfectly synchronized for all attendees and will work across all timezones.
To turn this feature on for a session, go to a session's virtual settings and check "Enable Autopilot Stream Mode". If you need to do this for multiple sessions, use the bulk editing tool.
A new setting is now available that allows you to shuffle the order in which your exhibitors and sponsors are displayed in attendee-facing experiences (e.g. event website, on-site mobile app, virtual portal, etc.).
The primary reason you'd want to enable this is it allows a specific organization to not be consistently at the top of a list and get the most traffic.
To activate this for exhibitors, visit Exhibitors > Settings > Shuffle Exhibitor Ordering. To activate this for sponsors, visit Sponsors > Settings> Shuffle Sponsor Ordering.
We are officially announcing the new photo booth feature! It’s free to use, can be customized with your own backgrounds, shows up in the event feed, and it just works great!
All you need to do to activate and use it is visit your event’s virtual (not on-site) settings, and enable it. Set a custom background via the virtual design settings, and you’re ready to go to try out the photo booth in the virtual event lobby. You can always delete (or hide) posts via the Networking > Event Feed tab along with all the posts contributed by your on-site attendees via the on-site PheedLoop portals.
By the way - thank you to everyone who contributes reactions and feedback to these product updates. We see all of them, and factor in everything you say into our continuous product development.
New “Event Admin” tags have been added to the context-aware chat areas (e.g. lobby, sessions, exhibits, groups) whenever an organization team member account posts (this is coupled with the update allowing portal multiple admins). New “Speaker” and “Exhibitor” tags have been added for each of their respective sessions and exhibit booths to their chat messages in their public chat areas to better highlight when a context-specific admin is posting (e.g. exhibit manager or speaker).
New design setting added for events allowing for a custom email banner image to be set to override the default logo from showing in email headers
