Here's a small update we know some of you have been waiting for! If you're using PheedLoop for a virtual or hybrid event, the chat panel on the right of sessions, exhibits, the lobby, groups, etc. can now be hidden. Doing so will expand the main content in the center of the page. You can pair this with hiding the sidebar as well for a "theater mode" experience.
Earlier this week, events (mostly ones with approximately 10,000 or more attendees) were experiencing long wait times exporting some specific reports. The reporting functions have been optimized for faster downloads now! If you continue to experience any issues with reports, please let our support team know as soon as possible.
We've moved the organization switcher to the header in your dashboard so that it's more visible, obvious, and easier to access. Thanks for your feedback, everyone!
On the heels of the release of our increased file size limit for pre-recorded videos (part of our free Upload & Stream product), we received the request to increase the file size limit for pre-roll videos as well. Good news - we've doubled the size allowance for global and per-session pre-roll videos to 50 MB! Keep in mind that pre-roll videos are meant for short b-roll type footage to promote your event, the session, sponsors, etc. and not to play a full session.
Streaming videos for Upload & Stream is our most significant cost, so our goal is to continue offering it all for free (we know it's one of the big reasons customers love PheedLoop) all while offering more functionality at the same time!
Pop-up check-in surveys are heavily used by events for CE tracking and certificate generation, gathering feedback, and gamification. One concern most events that use this feature have had is the delay setting is relative to the time the attendee joins the session, not when the session itself starts. Based on our polls, customers largely prefer the latter. So, now the check-in survey pops up at the same time for all attendees, irrespective of when they join the session (leaving and coming back in does not reset their timer). If your session is available on-demand pre/post the session's actual date/time, the survey's pop-up timing remains relative to the attendee's time of entering the session (as was the case prior to this update).
The same multi-language selector which has gained a lot of popularity within the virtual event portal is now available on the login page as well. Support for custom translations is also available.
